This spring, the feeling of love took on a whole new meaning when Lexus revealed the all new 2010 Lexus IS Convertible. A sultry hard-top convertible with as much attitude as it has class, the IS C is a combination of classic Lexus appeal with the spirit of good old fashioned fun – a dynamic that has Lexus lovers drooling.
With a three-paneled hard top that lowers in 21 seconds at the touch of a single button, the Lexus IS C has been known to draw a few stares and drop a few a jaws. In a near dream-like movement, the sleek top retracts and folds seamlessly into the trunk leaving enough truck space for a golf bag and room to spare. With the top down, an extraordinary interior is revealed for all to see. Gazing eyes can indulge on features such as a metallic-finish interior trim; leather-trimmed interior, steering wheel and shift knob; driver and passenger 10-way (including lumbar) adjustable with optional heated and ventilated, one-touch power slide/fold/return front seats allowing easier rear-seat access; Lexus eight-speaker Premium Sound system with Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL) with an in-dash, single feed, six-disc CD auto-changer; and the always impressive USB and auxiliary I Pod® [6]/MP3/Windows Media® Audio (WMA) port.
If the previous IS sedan revved your engine, then you are sure to find the exterior of the IS Convertible equally stunning. Staying true to its predecessor’s design, the IS C shares the same hood, headlamps, door handles and side-mirror designs. A true dual-mode designed vehicle, the IS C delivers an attention demanding profile with the top up and a silver-screen sex appeal with the top down – giving drivers the illusion of owning two awe taking cars in one.
The ISC is available in three classes: the 2010 IS250C which has a base MSRP of $38,490 when equipped with a six-speed manual transmission (available by special order), the IS250C with a six-speed automatic transmission priced from $39,660 and the IS350C which is available for a base MSRP of $ 43,940.
On Your Mark, Get Set... Go Green!
With the summer heat, came a new source of sizzle as Lexus unveiled the 2010 RX hybrid, a versatile SUV with a heart of green. Racing to the forefront of luxury utility vehicles, the new RX Hybrid has been completely redesigned with innovation, styling, performance, utility, comfort and of course, the environment, in mind.
Entering its second generation, the RX Hybrid, formally known as the RX 400h, features an enhanced Lexus Hybrid Drive system with a 3.5-liter V6 engine – an environmentally-friendly feature that allows the vehicle to run on a highly efficient Atkinson Cycle. Though the RX Hybrid is eco-conscious, it certainly doesn’t lack the thrill, speed and power that the name Lexus has become synonymous with. The new RX Hybrid features a new, more efficient inverter and the total system output is 295 horsepower, 27 more horsepower than the previous generation RX Hybrid.
Onlookers will also be green – with envy – when they see the roomy interior of this spacious five-passenger vehicle. Standard with XM® satellite-radio capability (requires subscription), XM NavWeather features, the RX Hybrid is also equipped to feature an available Hard Disk Drive (HDD) navigation system with an all-new “Remote Touch” controller. Positioned on the center console, Remote Touch can be customized to the desired level of haptic feedback for each driver’s preference. Additional new upgrades include a new casual language voice-recognition system that acknowledges conversational demands.
As intuitive on the inside as it is on the outside, the exterior of the all-new RX has a strong stance and a powerful new body design with the goal of enhancing comfort and maneuverability. A distinct shroud along the RX’s profile pulls together the inverted-trapezoid design in the front and the horizontally integrated rear. Crowned with stylish molding around the side windows and at the base of the doors, and set atop standard 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, the RX Hybrid will have its own unique appeal. To add a personal touch, drivers can choose from an array of exclusive styling features including a special grille, hybrid badging including blue-trimmed Lexus logos, one-of-a-kind front bumper, a special 19-inch optional wheel design, blue-tinted headlamps LED headlamps.

 An all new concept that will spark an all new love affair for Lexus enthusiasts – this fall Lexus introduced the HS Hybrid. The HS Hybrid features all of the eco-friendly attributes that drivers want with the Lexus luxuries they have become accustomed to – all neatly packed into an exquisite sedan.
From front to end, the HS Hybrid exemplifies the perfect combination of technology, comfort and responsibility with a splash of sass for fun. Powered by a 2.4-liter Atkinson-cycle engine, capable of generating an impressive 187 total-system horsepower, the HS Hybrid delivers a punch of power under a sleek hood.
To some, sleek may be an understatement – as every inch of the technologically advanced HS Hybrid has been designed to optimize aerodynamics. From the front spoiler to the roof, each distinct design element carries an innovative appeal with a mission of enhancing fuel efficiency. Drivers can cruise in style as the HS Hybrid boast a design that was developed from the inside out, featuring a sensational interior with an ultra-modern cockpit with 10-way power seats and a head-up display. Dress up the HS’s hull with the available Remote Touch device and technology savvy options such as a Navigation System with available pop-up screen, XM NavTraffic and NavWeather. Rounding out the back end is a spacious trunk with a sexy design. Seductively curve, the HS Hybrid may seem compact, but the ingenious design offers an abundant amount of trunk space – large enough for four golf backs.
